Do not combine shaders unless the mod/preset has specific instructions to do so. Reshade is available (free) at Reshade dot me. I use Reshade "presets" for a nicer look.
LOVERSLAB FALLOUT 4 STEAM UPDATE INSTALL
As with Vortex Profiling, try creating a combined mod then install it (and it alone) to see if it works - if not start recompiling it -1 mod at a time to see where the issues are).
LOVERSLAB FALLOUT 4 STEAM UPDATE PATCH
I've seen suggestions to use combining mods mostly for patch and other small files (back into the main ESM that needs them) but I can confirm that multiple large, disparate files work (I have a pack of maybe 10 radio stations, 10 "collector items" mods, 10 Videos of the Wasteland packs). You can use it to combine ESM (M is for master, L is for Light) files into a single package (1 file against the limit instead of multiple). pick it!).Ī workaround to the limit is to use ZEdit (google Zedit Fallout 4) - it may be branded for Skyrim but it works. Note that ESL files do NOT count against that limit (so, if you're trying to max things out and an ESL is an option. otherwise you can go back to vortex, see what you added (with hundreds of mods that can be tricky, hence the profiles) and start disabling newly installed mods until you find the culprit.įO4 may (still) have a ~330 mod hard limit. If you're installing mods en mass my suggestion is to do create a profile (in Vortex) with a known "working" setup then clone that, switch to the cloned profile, add your pack of mods (like, 10 at a time - I wouldn't suggest 100 :), boot into game and if no CTDs then you're good. Specifically, if you have a lot of mods you may well find that one may conflict with others and cause CTDs (crashes to desktop). Note on Vortex - USE the "profiles" manager to manage your mods. Mods can be installed "manually" though I've found that Nexus Mod's Vortex manager is a cleaner/easier way to do it. FYI, on my rig I ultra+ed everything out that I could, except the weapon debris. It is apparently bugged and never to be fixed and causes random crashes. Nvidia owners (possibly AMD as well) - you MUST turn off Weapon Debris completely via the options menu in the launcher (or however your wish to turn it off). The graphics card's ram is not similarly limited.

As always, keep your graphics card drivers/software up to date (much more likely that Nvidia or AMD will fix any bugs they can than for Bethesda to, certainly at this point).įO4 is limited to 4gig of reserved/usable ram.
